If your website is written in php or ruby on rails or something similar, doing it on the server side would be thing to do.

If you are in plain HTML you can write a javascript to do it, but you will have to load all the links in every time then just show only one.

1) create an array of links.
2) pick a random number (0 : array length -1)
3) display that link on the page.

I wrote a JavaScript one for you, just change all my links to your own links.

I first noticed a few days ago that random words and phrases were highlighted. It does seem to be completely random and meaningless. For example the phrase "the open door" might be highlighted. If you click on it it will be a link to something about doors or something else that is open. Perhaps we are then supposed to get revved up about doors and purchase one from one of the sites linked?

It seems too that this new "feature" coincided with the days this site was full of major glitches. This was happening because Yahoo was updating the site. Could be that this is one of those updates.

Perhaps there is a thread about this on the Suggestion Board? I have not yet checked but surely someone else must be wondering about this as well.
